FMP report has been, being created over the reading week term. On the tuesday went into college to look at previous reports this helped a lot as it showed me the type of content i needed to include

FMP first draft of the game has been handed in and a feedback form has been created for the audience to fill out so i can make changes
The game was uploaded to Newgrounds twice however each time the game has had negatvie feedback and has been rejected on the site, however some constructive critism has been given and this has allowed me to start changing the game for next weeks deadline

I have sorted the scoring problem out..it seems that there was a problem with an instance name..this has been sorted out now and the score works for both targets.
A second 'good' target was introduced where the player would lose a points rather than gain them with the 'bad' targets.
Timing system was added into the game and the shooting scene now lasts 60seconds letting the player score as many points as possible.
There is a problem with how to fail the game...however i have looked at various tutorials and books for help and nothing seems to work...so this may be left to see wat people think of the game first and if they suggest a possible way to fail then this will be implemented

Having problems with the scoring system for the game
it seems it counts the score everytime a target it hit... however when a new target appears the score resets itself back to 0.
I have gone through the script several times and cant seem to figure out whats wrong with this problem

Ive been working on my game production over the holidays.
Looking at tutorials i have been able to create a basic gameplay with 1 type of target, the target spawns and moves across the screen right to left.

There are problems with this however, the spawn points of the targets are random but are on the same level... however when a new target appears the score resets itself to 0 no matter how many points are already scored

The next parts i will be working on will be the targets (trying to sort out the problems) the scoring system... adding a new target to mix in to the game... a time limit on the game
and the script to decide whether the game gets completed or game gets failed

I have done some tutorials that will help with my knowledge of actionscript and the way each line of script works. These tutorials are not for creating a game but instead for a flash website.. however they allow me to understand how each part works allowing me to create and adapt my game.
However i didnt do all the tutorials they allowed me to look at the actionscript used. They also allow me to start designing a simple page that i will upload my game to, to allow people to play it.
